Privacy Policy
BrainView AI is construction management software for contractors. This policy explains what the app collects, why it needs it, and how to get rid of it. It covers the website at trybrainview.com and the BrainView iOS and Android apps.
The short version. We collect what is needed to run your jobs and your books, and nothing else. We do not sell your data, we do not advertise, and we do not use your business records to train anyone’s models. Your data is walled off from every other company using BrainView at the database level.
Who we are
BrainView AI is operated by Brain View IA LLC. For anything in this policy, including deletion requests, contact info@trybrainview.com.
What we collect
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address and password | To create and secure your account. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never visible to us. |
| Company details: name, legal name, licence number, address, phone, tax rate | These appear on the estimates and invoices you send, and the tax rate drives the money calculations. |
| Business records you enter: customers, projects, estimates, invoices, payments, bills, subcontractors, inventory, calendar events, crew and time entries | This is the product. Without it there is nothing to show you. |
| Job photos you take or upload | Kept against the job as a record of work. Stored privately and served through expiring signed links. |
| Messages between you, your crew and your customers | To deliver the conversation attached to a job. |
| Camera and photo library access (mobile) | Only when you tap to add a job photo or a remodel photo. We never open the camera on our own, and we do not access your library otherwise. |
What we do not collect
- No location or GPS tracking of you or your crew.
- No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, no third-party trackers.
- No contacts, no microphone, no browsing history.
- No payment card details. If and when billing is added, a payment processor handles cards and we never see the numbers.
How your data is separated from other companies
Every record in BrainView is tagged with the company it belongs to, and the database enforces that boundary with row-level security rather than leaving it to application code. A request carrying credentials for one company cannot read or write another company’s rows, even if the request is crafted deliberately. We test this by attempting exactly that attack.
Who else touches your data
| Service | Role |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication and file storage |
| Vercel | Hosting for the website and the API |
| Email provider | Delivers invites, password resets, review requests and documents you choose to send |
These are processors acting on our instructions. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, for any price.
Artificial intelligence
BrainView answers plain-language questions about your own records. Today those answers are computed directly from your data on our servers and no third-party model is involved. If that changes, this page will be updated before the feature ships, and your business records will not be used to train any model.
How long we keep it
Your records are kept for as long as your account is open, because a contractor needs job history going back years. When you close your account we delete your company’s data, including job photos, within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep financial records longer.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong, most of which you can edit directly in the app.
- Have your account and its data deleted.
- Object to a use of your data, or ask us to restrict it.
Email info@trybrainview.com and we will action it within 30 days. Deletion is permanent and we cannot undo it.
Children
BrainView is business software and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
